Large National Partners Like Silicon Valley Bank, H&R Block Small Business and Polsinelli, to Innovative Service Providers Such As Grasshopper, Robin and eBeam

Kansas City, MO, – As part of its move into an innovative and larger downtown work space, Think Big Partners today announced the first group of new corporate partners who will provide valuable services, products and support to early stage companies and entrepreneurs.  “We are proud and honored to have H&R Block Small Business, Silicon Valley Bank, Polsinelli, Grasshopper, Robin and eBeam, join our mission to help Kansas City businesses grow faster, smarter and more efficiently,” said Think Big Partners co-founder Herb Sih.  “Each of these companies is an unquestioned leader in their industry, but more importantly, each of these companies embodies the entrepreneurial spirit that makes this country special.  They are committed to helping early stage companies grow and they are committed to Kansas City.”

The new office space, located at 1712 Main Street, will continue to offer a home for early stage companies of all kinds, and will also serve as a focal point for the Internet of Things lab environment created by Kansas City’s embrace of the Smart and Connected City Initiative announced in May.  As a Smart and Connected City, KC will serve as a launching pad for innovative technologies embracing the Internet of Things and will help develop applications to power the community of the future.

“We believe that Kansas City is primed to capitalize on the positive macro-trends in the technology industry,” said Silicon Valley Bank Managing Director, Ron Singh.  “Many of the factors for a successful tech ecosystem exist here, which will contribute to supporting new and established technology companies.  Think Big Partners is a very important part of this ecosystem and Silicon Valley Bank is excited to be sponsoring partner.”

“We are extremely proud of H&R Block’s roots in the entrepreneurial community of Kansas City,” stated Jeremy Smith, Block Director of H&R Block Small Business.  “We have always been committed to serving the startup community and helping business grow.  We think our partnership with Think Big will continue that strong tradition and support a whole new wave of innovation.”

“The goal of Think Big Partners is to continue building a dynamic entrepreneurial economy, fostering a more cohesive and collaborative business community” said Tyler Prochnow, co-founder of Think Big Partners. “With the aid of these fantastic partners, and all of the incredible assets available to entrepreneurs in the region, anyone with a compelling idea should find a home to launch in Kansas City.  Our partners will provide a wide range of resources to help the most promising early stage companies—the ones with the innovative approaches for solving big challenges—to, develop their ideas, establish scalable business models, and create jobs in the 21st century.”
